Job Overview

Provides overall guidance and support to NPD teams with particular focus on Quality. Supports continuous improvement in product quality and customer satisfaction. The candidate must be familiar with related manufacturing disciplines and should proactively work with customers, sales, engineering teams and suppliers to help resolve technical or practical issues. Individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently, be assertive, and function well in team settings. This individual will have reporting obligations to APL middle management and occasional interaction with executive management.

Typical Activity

• Involved with key decision points regarding LEANPD process change
o Acts as the 1st level approval authority for process change
• Mentors AQE team members and encourages skill development
• Participates in or recommends the adoption of new technology (software, inspection equipment, etc.)
• Reviews 8D reports related to NPD to ensure complete, professional responses to TE's customers.
• Audit Processes (ISO-9001, LPA)
• Participates in crisis management, as may be needed
• Respond to ongoing production issues that require advanced trouble-shooting skills (statistics, 'IS-IS NOT' analysis, C&E, Fault Tree Analysis, etc).
• Travel, as needed, to support both internal and external customer needs and NPI programs. Flexible work hours are essential to success

What your background should look like:

Skills

• APQP process flow and purpose
• Knowledge of Inspection Equipment and Inspection Methodology
• Design Risk Assessment and Verification activity (DFMEA, DFM, Design Reviews, Qualification)
• Process Risk Assessment and Verification (PFMEA, FAI, Capability Analysis, QIP/Control Plan, Safe Launch, SPC)
• Statistics (familiarity with DOE, ANOVA, Hypothesis Testing)
• Computer Skills (basic office software, MiniTab (preferred), database query is a plus)
• Strong Presentation Skills
• Familiarity with Model Based Definition is desirable
• Strong Leadership and Communication skills

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,000 - 225,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
