Job Summary:
The Senior Analytics Business Partner performs a vital role in creating a data-driven culture, unlocking the value of data by working closely with internal and external customers to define and prioritize value, align roadmaps, and deliver analytical solutions that meet deep business needs.
The Senior Analytics Business Partner works with members of the Data & Analytics team, Surescripts' business leaders, and Surescripts' customers to discover, define, and communicate data-driven business opportunities. The incumbent plays a key role in educating the business about the value potential of analytics, leading the elaboration of business ideas, prioritizing value, translating business ideas to the technical teams, facilitating feedback throughout development lifecycle, and ensuring the successful delivery of sustainable value.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to shape data & analytical departmental roadmaps and vision; ensures analytical solutions align with corporate and departmental strategies and requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between departmental business owners, end users, and the data & analytics engineering teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in existing reporting capabilities.
- Help the business understand Data Governance requirements and constraints that may impact their requests.
- Own the prioritization and reconciliation of the end-to-end Data & Analytics development backlog, collaborating with Data & Analytics Engineering Management and other Data Solutions Owners.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the process of identifying highest value business opportunities in data processes and efficiencies, clarifying requirements, and setting business expectations.
- Ensures alignment by Document workflows, process diagrams, business use cases, business requirements, and other documentation as required to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Leverages best practices in user-centered design to ensure requirements meet the needs of end users.
- Assist Data & Analytical engineering teams plan data delivery to ensure rapid, incremental delivery of business value.
- Work with engineering to decompose and size development projects.
- Responsible for sharing knowledge, including communication of milestones, progress, challenges, escalation of issues, and ETAs.
- Manage the final user acceptance testing of delivered data solutions, capturing any additional enhancement requests for future phases.
- Work with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Tech Leads to help create detailed business requirements and technical system requirements.
- Provide input into continuous enhancement of the overall intake, prioritization, and delivery processes.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in related, progressive roles
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, System Analyst, Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or closely related role
- 2+ years of experience driving projects independently
- Demonstrated expertise in the data & analytical life cycle
- Experience at working with manager levels and above to reconcile competing business priorities
- Experience presenting complex material to non-technical, non-specialized audiences
- Familiarity with database and reporting technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing or developing data & analytical solutions in the healthcare IT field
- Ability to condense complex technical information and tradeoffs into brief, concise, business-level language
- Change management experience
- Experience in industry standards such as NCPDP, X12, HL7, FHIR
- Experience with data visualization and analytical techniques
- Training or experience with software development life cycle processes, including Agile development
- Experience in Data Governance in a healthcare setting

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $140,700 - $171,900 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
