Shoreditch House...

Located in East London’s historic Tea Building, Shoreditch House is an established fixture on the area’s creative scene. Highlights include a gym and rooftop pool, both with panoramic views across the city. Spread over the fifth and sixth floor, the house also has 26 bedrooms, a Cowshed Spa, two restaurants and a daily programme of events. The Members’ restaurant on the fifth floor serves an all-day club menu, while the rooftop Japanese restaurant, Pen Yen, is the destination for sushi, sashimi and dishes from the robata grill. The back-deck dining space, also on the rooftop, is the new home for Maya, a Mexican inspired dining concept bringing coastal Baja Mexican cuisine to the Shoreditch rooftop space.

The Role… 

We are seeking an experienced Spa Manager to join our team at Shoreditch House (E1 6AW). The Spa Manager is responsible for the efficient management of the Cowshed Spa, ensuring the team consistently provide an exceptional service and spa experience for our members. 

Main Duties

• Influential beauty and wellness leader responsible for providing high quality services and elevated experiences to members and guests
• Oversee Cowshed Spa team to include recruitment, on-boarding, training, payroll, staff performance, and strategize with leadership to assess the efficiencies of the Health Club 
• Effectively create and monitor budgets, analyse, forecast, as well as anticipate opportunities by identifying services to promote and elevate member and guest experiences.
• Ensure that all financial transactions are completed in accordance with finance procedures, including security, processing and banking (as appropriate) as well as responsible for partnering with General Manager and local leadership to create, maintain and manage reporting on monthly performance of the facility against budget projections
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Events Team with the promotion of facility services, retail products and amenities to optimize new business opportunities and potential ROI
• Prepare and maintain detailed records of day to day operations and write corresponding reports.
• Manage spa and gym database systems effectively for sales, renewals, direct debits, customer exits and membership numbers
• Vendor management and procurement activities to manage equipment manufacturers to ensure all areas of the spa and gym equipment comply with safety and Soho House standards 
• Adhere to health and safety policy are always followed, as well as implement and monitor compliance with all company policies procedures, and standards 

What we are looking for in a Spa Manager...

• Minimum of 5-7+ years’ experience in a similar role within retail, beauty, fitness, health and/or wellness space
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Customer / member experience focused
• Passionate about the industry and performing spa treatments.
• Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
• Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
• Sense of urgency
• Yes, yes, yes mentality
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible and available to working both opening and closing shifts when required

Required Skills/Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 or equivalent industry related qualifications
• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to multitask and excel in a high-volume and demanding fast-paced environment

Sun – Tues – 7:30am – 12am

Wednesday – 7:30am – 1am

Thurs – Sat – 7:30am – 3am

*Kitchen will close earlier
