Senior Enterprise Architect

The Role…

Our digital platform has evolved to the point of reasonable maturity for Soho House, we are now focussing on transforming our backoffice platforms. This newly created role will lead this work technically and is therefore a strategic addition to our Engineering leadership team, and a key part of the advisors to the CTO.

We operate a flat structure where a lean Architecture team, along with Lead Engineers collectively drive the technology vision and strategy. As Senior Enterprise Architect this role will lead in developing and executing the technology ambitions that support the implementation of strategic programmes. You will support the design and implementation of all strategic projects across the group, hence, this requires you to have strong experience of building a technology vision and roadmap to meet complex business needs, a willingness to engage in functional discussions that can then be synthesised to technical directions. To us, this is a highly critical role, delivering to an ambitious roadmap and in a fast-paced environment.

You will ensure the technology vision is aligned to the current Soho House digital and finance transformation, considering Soho House & Co’s structure and ambitions as well as understand how we iterate to make this a financially viable estate. Develop clear metrics to the goals and get commitment across the group for 2-3 year roadmap and budget in principle

In collaboration with business leads across the group, and with Director of engineering , other architects and technology partners you will lead the technology roadmap execution.   It is vital that communication to direct management and the business leads is appropriate and timely. You will be required to advice /guide technical teams on solutions and project approach and play an active overseeing role through all phases of delivery.

The role will be based at the London Support Office, is part of the Digital Engineering team and reports directly to Director of Engineering, with whom you will work to deliver the group initiatives in a fit for purpose, cost conscious manner, repurposing deliveries/modules that are already in place. This is a role that requires an individual who can work independently and take accountability and who are authentic and driven.

What We Are Looking For...

• Lead, Develop and execute against technology strategy
• Drive Soho House & Co vision
• Engage with business and technology stakeholders, including with outside of Soho House where required
• Engage with platform end users/customer across the group to ensure solutions are fit for purpose
• Oversee technical direction for various technology streams
• Steer implementation team
• Input to business case development
• Able to follow trends across competitors and hospitality to ensure we refine plans and take opportunities

Day to day you will

• Work closely with the Digital Leadership team on the future state of technology at Soho House & Co
• Engage with group brands and affiliates
• Talk to end users to ensure the right product is built at the right time
• Collaborate closely with technical leads on the future technical state
• Work in tandem with the Delivery teams to ensure timely delivery
•  Document and communicate regularly as-is and to-be state

What We Are Looking For...

• Expert understanding of enterprise integration layers; Oracle Integration Cloud preferred
• Understanding of cloud technologies
• Abreast of new technology innovations and able to communicate opportunities internally
• Pragmatic in solutioning (we are £ conscious as a business); technology agnostic
• Familiar with various methodologies and architectural practices
• Excel in large scale transformation with required familiarity with the architecture discipline
• A champion of using technology to improve business outcomes
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to get the job done
• Able to communicate effectively and credibly
