Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Application Engineer in Westmont, IL.

Job Description: Provide pre-sales application/technical support (at Global level) to win project business. Create detailed valve schedules to meet critical project timelines. Promote field devices offering and provide support and tools with the goal to increase business and field devices saturation. Act as the application advisor for Field Device Sensor, Valves and Actuator. Drive Offer Managers to refresh roadmaps by analyzing current market trends, customer needs, and retrofit opportunities. Drive countries' sales growth by working with country PAE's and Front Office teams and providing offer-specific trainings, support in submittals, value engineering, and valve take-offs. Lead key Customer and Specification Engineer meetings to maximize pull for Field Devices. Act as Offer Manager for Pass-through Field Devices, Valves and Actuator products, with direct responsibility for multimillion dollar sales. Track and proactively convert project opportunities for Field Devices using BFO (salesforce). Take ownership of Field Devices selection tools (Valves & Actuator Selection Tool, HVAC Sensor Tool, cross-reference and global estimation tools) and develop strategies to maximize adoption of tools. Lead the application engineering team by training Junior Application Engineers to enable them to be productive in their roles. Position eligible for remote work up to 3 days per week. 15% travel required (5% international, 10% domestic) to various customer and specification engineer sites across USA, Canada, and Europe to support customer projects and address application queries.

Requirements: Position requires Master's or Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, or related field and progressive, post-bachelor's experience (3 years with Master's or 5 years with Bachelor's) in application or project engineering in the HVAC industry, or closely related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: MEP design; Creating equipment and design schedules; Designing valve schedules, including for high rise buildings; Pitching HVAC valves and actuators product value proposition with customers through training and presentations; Managing and designing HVAC product and equipment from conception to completion; Translating VoC (Voice of Customer) into product needs; Synthesizing market and competition data to derive valuable insights; Designing productivity tools with User Experience (UX) knowledge from End User perspectives; and Training and driving commercial teams to maximize sales.
