We are looking for an eMobility Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Sales organization in order to drive and accelerate our growth in the e-mobility charging infrastructure application.

Mission of the role

The e-mobility market is continuous expanding at a rapid pace with the expectation of 17 million new electrical cars in 2024 globally and a global electrical car fleet 10 times more as now in 2030. As we scale the electrification of our mobility in order to fight the climate change, Schneider Electric provides and develops a whole range of e-mobility charging infrastructure solutions.

In order to continue our rapid growth in this emerging application, we are currently recruiting an e-mobility Business Development Manager reporting to our office in Hoofddorp.

The e-Mobility BDM is a critical role as he/she will be to work closely with clients to strategically design e-mobility charging infrastructure deployment plans as well as be the regional SPOC to support other SE sales teams in accelerating their integrated deployment in serving this growing application. He/She should be customer focus and has developed the acumen to manage and cultivate customer relations.

Your responsibilities:
  • Engage proactively with key stakeholders and potential customers, delving deep into their strategic priorities, requirements, challenges and long-term vision to drive growth for SE.
  • Identify the correct direct and indirect prospective customers that require and/or will require e-mobility charging infrastructure
  • Work proactively looking for sales opportunities, generating and following up on leads and creating interest in Schneider's e-mobility solutions, maintaining prospect and opportunities pipeline using the company's CRM platform
  • Enable SE sales teams to deploy eMobility and be the e-Mobility SPOC for the local organization, collaborating closely with different areas of the organization to meet our ambitions (Sales, Marketing, and others)
  • Negotiate and close sales agreement.
  • Being aware of market trends to create / adapt strategies that will serve SE ambition in e-Mobility market, and deep understanding of SE position in it.
  • Ensure that we continue to grow above market levels in the e-mobility application delivering both value to customers and profitability to Schneider Electric


Required qualifications and skills:
  • Strategic & Proactive: You are able to assess situation on a timely manner, being able to make decision and drive actions. You consider business objective and are proactive in moving towards that goal.
  • Flexible / Adaptable: Situations change and you are able to adapt promptly to change strategies or plans. When situations become complex you are able to keep a professional and solution-oriented approach.
  • Communication & Influence: You are a very good communicator, understanding different channels and way to deliver to message, to adapt to difference audiences and are able to engage with people and influence them.
  • Stakeholder Management & Network: you are able to navigate a matrix organization and also interact with people in different level of organization, feeling comfortable with C-level.
  • Organized - Works in a systematic and structured manner to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong collaborator and you understand the need of a team to make things happen. They need you and you need them -it's a two way street-.
  • Between 3-5 years in a commercial role, driving sales or account management for the dutch market.
  • Professional proficiency in dutch is highly desirable
