Job Overview

As a Program Director/Snr Director within Engineering Operations you will be a key player in ensuring our engineering staff are successful both locally and globally. Helping them stay connected to one another and to our Engineering org as a whole. You will be an important voice within our broader management team, and a liason between the global Engineering teams. You will oversee and actively participate in a variety of operational tasks, initiatives and global projects. You will be an action-oriented leader who can spot what needs to be done, prioritize tasks for Engineering , and mobilize your group to accomplish our ever changing goals. You will use your creative problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to succeed and expand not only your growth but the overall growth mindset of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • RTB Activities - (Run the Business) Work alongside Snr Leadership to prioritize and action on any programs, tasks, actions as needed
  • Technical Data Mgmt - review and analyse technical metrics. Provide solutions and execution plans to leadership for improvements
  • Budget Mgmt - Accountable for a variety of budgets, Infra, Program, Travel, Cost to Serve etc. Ability to forecast and deep dive into variances where needed
  • Non Technical Data Management: Extract and analyze data, as well as generate reports for various operational initiatives within the team. e.g. headcount, location, budget, recruiting stats etc
  • Productivity Initiatives - Work with our Productivity Council to identify and resolve blockers to developer productivity.
  • Headcount Mgmt - Collaborate with stakeholders to allocate headcount in accordance with business priorities, corporate ratios, locations etc
  • Partnerships with Cross functional Stakeholders - Partner with key business stakeholders e.g. Finance, Recruiting, ES etc to ensure your are team are successful in each of these areas
  • Workforce Location Strategy - Work with leadership and stakeholders to create, align and execute on our Engineering location strategy
  • Offsites, All-Hands, Leadership Meetings - Create agendas, decks, facilitate leadership meetings as required
  • Newsletters - Pull together content and create Newsletters as needed

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in an Operations or Program Mgmt role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a proactive and can-do, problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and team members.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
  • Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Prior experience in an SaaS company is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of budget management and financial tracking.

Location:
This position is based in AMER, and may require occasional travel

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $200,300 to $290,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
