Collins Aerospace has a high visibility opportunity for a 1st shift Production Supervisor with the A320neo Value Stream. Overall responsibility for a manufacturing operations team consisting of 20-30 employees. This individual will lead a team in a fast paced and dynamic environment to ensure products meet contractual quality, cost, and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and actively leading and engaging in safety improvement initiatives. You will engage in daily interactions with key functions such as manufacturing engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, and the program management office to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. Your success will be measured by your ability to achieve and exceed cost, quality, delivery, and safety goals, while identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using lean methodologies. This is a critical role where your contributions will directly impact the overall performance and efficiency of the organization.

What You Will Do

  • Ensures EH&S standards are followed to company guidelines.
  • Ensures all quality related items are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
  • Assists in cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
  • Assists in scheduling to ensure that production schedules are met.
  • Assists in sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for a cell to optimize productivity.
  • Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
  • Monitors cell performance and productivity to maximize productivity.
  • Assists in production innovation, including additive manufacturing to enhance the cell's production capabilities.
  • Interfaces with internal customers to understand needs and issues.
  • Participate in compliance inspection continuous improvement (CI) activities.
  • Utilizing Continuous Improvement tools that will drive safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education & Experience

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Qualifications You Must Have

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Skills we value

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access).
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma or other similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working in assembly operation.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
