This is an exciting opportunity to manage a team of Systems Administrators in the Land & Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) Strategic Business Unit within Raytheon Digital Technology (DT).

In this role the leader will be responsible for leading a team of up to sixteen high-performing technical professionals to enable program execution across multiple security domains. The leader will establish a vision, set direction, develop, and motivate the team to deliver business value and results. The leader will partner across Digital and other RTX functions to help ensure operational excellence across our classified and unclassified program environments. The leader will be responsible for all aspects of people management including hiring, staff development, training, and performance evaluations.

This role requires on-site presence at one of the Andover, MA, Tewksbury, MA, or Pelham, NH locations in support of L&ADS programs. Relocation may be available if the selected applicant meets company policy criteria.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team in alignment with our Raytheon values.
  • Partner closely with peer groups to enable flawless Digital service delivery and maintain security compliance requirements.
  • Perform workforce planning and resource management.
  • Assign and monitor projects and tasks.
  • Manage and record employee performance.
  • Create and submit periodic status reports and accomplishments to the next level of leadership.
  • Administer time reporting, training, recruiting, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Support career development of employees.
  • Contribute to annual operating planning (AOP) for the team's Digital scope.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
  • Must be able to work in the following locations: Andover, Tewksbury, and Pelham, NH

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Experience with IT System Administration duties.
  • Experience managing, supervising, or leading a team.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience managing teams in an Agile / DevSecOps environment.
  • Experience with workforce planning and resource management.
  • Experience training and mentoring team members.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to influence and drive change with peers and leaders across the organization.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects and leading change efforts in a Digital Technology domain.
  • Ability to understand complex issues, develop effective solutions, and drive to timely resolution.
  • Technical experience with computer infrastructure including Servers (Windows, Linux), Storage, Virtualization / Cloud technologies, networking systems, directory services management, and system hardening.
  • Knowledge of best practices in Cybersecurity.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting tasks and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of DFARs, CMMC, RMF, DAAPM, and JSIG requirements and controls.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
