We have an exciting remote opportunity for an Enterprise Information Architect!
What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise information architecture strategy and roadmap to align with overall business objectives.
- Design, implement, and manage data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.
- Establish and oversee comprehensive metadata management practices to support data discoverability, understanding, and proper utilization.
- Develop and maintain enterprise information architecture standards, reference models, and patterns that guide implementation across the organization.
- Collaborate with the Digital Technology and Data Science (DTDS) team, the Data, Platforms, & Analytics team, and business stakeholders to identify information needs and translate them into data models and architecture solutions.
- Identify, map, and maintain high-level information flows within the enterprise.
- Identify and resolve semantic conflicts across systems and business domains to enable consistent interpretation of information.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems and 12+ years of experience in Information Technology that includes 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and database design; OR an Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems and 10+ years of experience in Information Technology that includes 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and database design.
- Demonstrated expertise in metadata management frameworks and tools.
- Experience in building an enterprise taxonomy with definitions of key terms across enterprise domains and their hierarchical classification. Evolving the defined taxonomy into an ontology by adding relationships, attributes, and contextual meaning.
- Experience with various data modeling methodologies and tools, including dimensional modeling and entity-relationship modeling.
- Proven experience with master data management and reference data management concepts and implementation.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
- Ability to provide strategic technical leadership and lead by influence the creation of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) roadmaps in a virtual environment.
- Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, can develop clear, concise, and logically written business communications, as well as deliver recommendations.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Additional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA, CDMP).
- Demonstrated effectiveness working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships to leverage information and insights across key groups.
- Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Outstanding formal and informal presentation skills.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI data requirements and governance.
- ArchiMate modelling language and Sparx Enterprise Architect.
- Familiarity with API management, strategy, and microservices architecture, including understanding of API architectural patterns, ability to define API standards and integration frameworks across the enterprise, and skill in articulating their benefits for business capability reuse, system interoperability, and data exchange optimization.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
