As part of the Chief Marketing Organization U.S. the Director of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) will be part of the Performance Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive SEO strategy to enhance the visibility, traffic, and overall performance of Pfizer websites. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience who can work across intern and external teams to align SEO initiatives with broader business goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully driving organic search results and managing a team of SEO professionals.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a strategic SEO roadmap that aligns with business objectives.
- Lead SEO agency and Pfizer resources
- Collaborate with Paid Search team to create a holistic approach to Search.
- Stay informed of industry trends, algorithm updates, and practices to ensure a competitive edge.
- Oversee technical aspects of SEO, including site architecture, crawlability, and mobile optimization.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify and address issues affecting search performance.
- Work closely with content teams to execute an effective content strategy.
- Optimize on-page content, meta tags, and other elements to improve search rankings.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive link-building strategy to enhance domain authority and improve search rankings.
- Identify and pursue partnership opportunities to build high-quality backlinks.
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics.
- Provide regular updates to the leadership team on the performance of SEO initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS required
- 10+ years of agency or client-side SEO experience (Healthcare expertise preferred but not required)
- Proven experience as an SEO leader with a track record of driving organic search growth.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Experience leading agency teams within an agency or client-side
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Strong communications skills, and ability to translate concepts for a wide variety of audiences
- Understanding of media measurement norms, evolving landscape, and industry standards
- Analytical skills and proficiency in SEO tools and analytics platforms.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149 200,00 to $248 600,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20,0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
