Content Creation Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Content Creation Specialist has a primary role of creating copy and imagery for our eCommerce site aligned with PetMeds marketing standards. In this role you will launch new brands for PetMeds by gathering required marketing information, creating product copy, and creating/editing product images using Photoshop.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Obtain complete or partial sets of product information from brand partners and format copy to a standardized excel template for product ingestion with all required information.
• Synthesize multiple sources of product information to PetMeds standards
• Edit product imagery (naming convention, image format, image sizes) to create a complete set of data for each product.
• Intake work from a JIRA workflow and post regular status updates in JIRA
• Perform other duties as requested.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS NEEDED
• Must be organized with excellent time management skills
• Experience with image editing software (I.E. Photoshop)
• Experience with the MS Office suite, specifically excel
• Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills
• Self-starter approach to work
• Must have a team player attitude
• Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels.
• Analytical, detail focus, problem-solving, decision making and organization/planning aptitude.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Preferred:
o Content creation experience on eCommerce sites
o Experience with enterprise workflow tools (I.E. Jira)
o Experience in the pet care industry
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
• Bachelor’s degree in relative field of study; one or more years of experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
The Department Head has the discretion to hire personnel with a combination of experience and education which may vary from the above listed qualifications.
