The HIV Community Liaison (CL) is a key member of the Virology Team in the Global Human Health Division. The incumbent plays a critical role in supporting our company's customer centric business model. The successful candidate will be a well-organized, positive, flexible, and compassionate self-starter who will be responsible for developing, managing, and facilitating strong relationships between Community Organizations and our company's Virology team.

- This is a field-based position that will cover the Northwest territory (Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Alaska and El Paso, Texas).
- The ideal location to reside is within the state of Arizona.

Primary Responsibilities include and may not be limited to:
- Engaging Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHP) in the assigned geography and taking the lead on all local community related initiatives.
- Establishing strong partnerships with institutions serving the healthcare needs of the community, such as Community Based Organizations (CBO), Service Organizations and clinics. The CL will provide relevant approved resources to AHPs in those institutions (i.e. Case Managers, Treatment Educators, Adherence Counselors, Social Workers, and others).
- Supporting the educational needs in these institutions by providing approved resources designed to increase patient understanding of select virology related topics, available treatment options, and optimal approaches to patient management.
- Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to provide information on our company's resources and medications that are consistent with approved indications and brand messages.
- Communicating and demonstrating a compelling and consistent vision of our company's commitment to patients.
- Providing timely feedback on product/ market conditions to a variety of internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring all activities are within our company's policy and meet legal and compliance requirements.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- BS/BA degree required; Science or Healthcare major and/ or Advanced Science, Public Health or Allied Healthcare Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in the field of Virology (CBO, Clinic, Pharmaceutical Company)
- Previous pharmaceutical industry experience (i.e. Sales, Marketing or Community Relations) and/or experience working in patient education.
- Strong understanding of the HIV therapeutic area and the current marketplace.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex scientific and public health related concepts at an appropriate literacy level to diverse audiences.
- Strong facilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Self-motivated with the ability to perform a high level of independence.
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
- Fluent in conversational and written English. Spanish or other second language is a plus.
- Ability to travel the amount of time the role requires, 40 - 50%.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
$111,400.00 - $175,300.00
