Leidos is an innovation company rapidly addressing the world's most vexing challenges in national security and health. Our Global Supply Chain organization is seeking an Associate Subcontracts Specialist to support the programs, proposals, and business objectives of the National Security Sector. This role is the entry point into learning and performing full life cycle ("cradle-to-grave") subcontract management activities supporting primarily US Government programs. This role will support various programs which fall within the Homeland & Force Protection Business Area, Force Protection Division.

In this role, you will learn to manage the overall subcontracting process which complies with contract requirements, company policies and procedures, and applicable laws and acquisition regulations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented who can work both independently and as part of a team. They will be the primary interface between subcontractors and the program for the contractual management of agreements typically of a low dollar value, risk, creativity and complexity and will interact with other functional areas (e.g., program management, contracts, project control, finance, growth, etc.) to complete the necessary activities for the portfolio they're assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

While not an exhaustive list, activities in the subcontracting process that are responsibilities of this role are supporting proposal activities (e.g., negotiation of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and teaming agreements, preparation of solicitation packages from customer requirements, evaluation of subcontractor proposals, price analysis, negotiation of price and terms and conditions, etc.) and subcontract award and post-award management (e.g., subcontract modifications, risk identification & mitigation, issue resolution, internal reporting, closeout activities, etc.). The complexity of assignments will increase with demonstrated proficiency, judgement, and business acumen.

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must be able to clearly articulate statuses and issues to management, internal partners, and suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree preference: Supply Chain Management or Business Administration

Pay Range:

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
