The Role

The Senior IT Product and Business Engagement Manager is a leadership role responsible for shaping and overseeing the delivery of strategic IT products and solutions across the Hire-to-Retire (H2R) ecosystem. This senior role serves as a critical interface between IT and HR and is accountable for understanding complex business challenges and leading teams to design, develop, and implement technology solutions that drive business value. This position requires strong people management skills to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy, Solution Design, and Lifecycle Oversight:

  • Lead the strategic direction for IT products, defining and managing comprehensive global product roadmaps that align with organizational objectives and growth strategies.
  • Oversee solution architecture and design sessions, collaborating with senior architects and technical leads to ensure scalable, secure, seamless, user friendly and cost-effective solutions.
  • Set technical standards and best practices, ensuring that all existing and new solutions adhere to enterprise architecture guidelines and industry standards.
  • Conduct periodic assessments of product performance and provide executive-level insights on in-scope product landscape optimization and enhancement opportunities, leveraging data and KPIs.

Executive Stakeholder Management and Engagement:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, aligning technology initiatives with business priorities and providing strategic guidance on technology investments.
  • Act as a primary technical liaison for senior business stakeholders, facilitating workshops to gather complex requirements, clarify expectations, and ensure alignment with technical teams.
  • Communicate solution design choices, technical risks, and implementation plans effectively to non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Establish and manage executive-level relationships across business units, ensuring a deep understanding of business needs and challenges to drive impactful solutions.

People Management and Team Development:

  • Lead and develop a team of IT product managers, business analysts, and solution architects, fostering a culture of accountability, empowerment, collaboration, and innovation.
  • • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and capabilities, supporting professional growth and career development.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations, providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations to promote a high-performing, motivated team.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that team members work effectively with other IT and business units to deliver value-driven technology solutions.

Strategic Planning, Innovation, and Technical Alignment:

  • Lead long-term strategic planning initiatives for IT product and solution portfolios, identifying and capitalizing on emerging technologies that can provide competitive advantage.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with business and IT leadership to develop product and vendor engagement strategies that support the organization's digital transformation and innovation goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technology investment, presenting clear business cases and ROI analyses to executive stakeholders.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, exploring new technologies, best practices, and trends to ensure IT solutions remain future-proof and aligned with market demands.

Program and Project Leadership:

  • Oversee large-scale, cross-functional IT projects, monitoring scope, budgets, resource capacity planning & utilization, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of solutions with high impact.
  • Mentor and provide technical direction to delivery teams, establishing clear roles and responsibilities, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Implement effective project governance and risk management practices, proactively identifying and mitigating potential technical or operational risks.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management, ensuring transparency in project progress, risks, and return on investment.

Change Management and Training Strategy:

  • Develop and lead change management strategies for successful adoption of new technologies, working closely with business and IT leaders to manage impacts on processes and people.
  • Establish a knowledge management framework for IT products, overseeing the creation curation of detailed documentation, training programs, and actionable user guides.
  • Drive post-implementation performance assessments, gathering user feedback and analyzing operational review data to identify areas for improvement and additional training needs.

Compensation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $167,760 to $318,840 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $184,560 to $382,680

Colorado: $167,760 to $318,840

New York City: $201,360 to $382,680

Washington: $184,560 to $350,760

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.

Required Skills, Experience and Circumstances:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in IT product management, solution architecture, or technical consulting, with a demonstrated track record of success in senior leadership roles.
  • Experience implementing, architecting and delivering innovative global solutions for HR applications including, but not limited to, Workday, Payroll, and ServiceNow.
  • Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams, with strong people management skills.
  • Extensive experience managing enterprise-level products and delivering innovative technology solutions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Proven experience in implementing DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and other modern software engineering practices.
  • Expertise in data governance, security best practices, and familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong expertise in solution architecture, including experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid environments, and enterprise integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and experience with modern project management practices.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders, including C-level executives.
  • Analytical mindset with a solid understanding of data-driven decision-making, and proficiency in using business intelligence tools and KPIs to drive strategic insights.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Advanced certifications in product management, technical architecture, or project management (e.g., PMP, TOGAF, Scrum Master).
  • Experience in a global organization, managing cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Successful long term customer relationship management
