As a Security Officer within out Global Security Team , you will ensure the safety and security of critical areas and personnel by inspecting premises, controlling access, and reporting hazards. You'll conduct counter-surveillance, manage alarms, respond to emergencies, defuse difficult situations, and provide security for special events. Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance are essential. Key duties include inspecting grounds and premises, controlling and monitoring access to buildings, and reporting fire and safety hazards. The role involves conducting counter-surveillance, managing alarms, responding to emergencies, and providing security for special events.

Job responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety and security of critical areas and personnel
- Inspecting grounds, premise/property and controlling and monitoring access to building
- Reporting fire and safety hazards and conduct alarm management and emergency response
- Conduct Counter Surveillance
- Defusing and de-escalating difficult situations
- Conduct Special event security
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Must have active NY State Security Guard License
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Capable of handling the physical requirements of the position (corrected vision at a minimum level of 20/50, able to hear and understand normal conversations at a distance of 10 feet)
- Practice normal hygiene and personal cleanliness, neat in dress and appearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Working knowledge of Critical infrastructure security operations, technical security, alarm management, mobile communication and incident reporting applications
- Customer and Client focus
- Training in fire safety and crime prevention
- Associate degree, or US Military background with honorable discharge, AND a minimum of five (5) years prior Security Officer experience
- Fire Watch Certification - Certificate of Fitness for Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment (F-01) required
