Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Clinical Co-Op Intern, Neuroscience EP (Established Products) position supports the EP Neuroscience Clinical team and Compound Development Teams. These teams are dedicated to maximizing the value of this portfolio through the execution of all phases of clinical development and in particular, provides active medical and scientific contribution to cross-functional clinical teams to support successful completion of clinical projects and deliverables that enable worldwide registrations for new indications, enhancements to the label and compliance with regulatory commitments for products in the market and in development.

  • Work with the Clinical and NS compound development teams (CDT) in the execution of specific tasks and projects in NS related to clinical studies, product development and strategic activities conducted for the support of this portfolio.
  • Work in concert with the Clinical Leaders on clinical trial and Real-World Evidence (RWE) concept and protocol development, execute clinical studies for new formulations, post-approval commitments, and new indications.
  • Actively involved in the creation of Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), publication of clinical research findings and presentations to relevant FDA, EMA, or other Health Authorities, advisory committees, and review meetings.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for evaluation of new product ideas and related new technologies; review medical literature, clinical, medical and market access plans.


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an MD, PhD, PharmD, or any other advanced health care degree at an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum G.P.A. of 3.0
  • Strong problem-solving skills for developing solutions and meeting project objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability of critical thinking and prioritization with respect to project objectives.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience.

Other requirements

  • Must be able to work 40 hours/week for the duration of the internship onsite
  • Strong clinical and/or research experience in clinical, medical areas is preferred.
  • Technical proficiencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems, including experience with PubMed databases and other literature databases.
