Infosys is seeking a Mainframe (PL/1, C370) developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and Business User support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
Min 4 years of Information Technology experience
4+ years of Experience in PL/1, C370 and Custom Scripting experience.
3+ years of Application and Business user support experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in PL/1, C370 programming on mainframe systems
Experience in C programing and scripting
Exposure to Assembler and Mark IV variants
Preferred experience in Solaris or HPUX platform
Application monitoring and support experience
Debugging and understanding potential issues
Design, build, maintain and improve applications, experience in transformation projects from legacy to modern architectures
Provide Tier 2 (Business user) and Tier 3 (App Dev) support
Ensure clients' requests are always well addressed, in a timely manner, with appropriate reporting
Work closely with clients and peers to define clear specifications and gather requirements
Working alongside business analysts and project managers to comprehend the requirements
Analysis and development of requirements
Unit / system / regression / performance evaluating those requirements
Fixing bugs, reviewing, and supporting the implementation of codes
The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
