GIS Lead Developer

Infosys is seeking GIS Lead Developer. you will be an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

Preferred
• Lead the design and development of GIS - Maximo integration using ESRI technologies and Hexamap GTech Technologies.
• Integrate GIS applications with Maximo to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, requirements, and technical specifications
• Create and manage geospatial databases, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of spatial data
• Develop advanced geospatial analysis and modeling solutions to support decision-making processes
• Prepare technical documentation and user manuals, and provide training and support to staff on GIS tools and applications
• A solid understanding of systems development and project management methodologies and processes
• Planning and coordinating GIS work for internal team and client
• Develop and maintain QA on datasets and outputs
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate geospatial documentation, SOP, best practices, and user guide
• Providing GIS technical mentoring to junior GIS staff
• Contributing to the technical development of the GIS team through sharing ideas and innovations
• Undertake own continuous professional development and stay up to date with the latest GIS developments

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's or master's degree with 12+ years of prior relevant experience. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Expertise in ESRI ArcGIS software stack (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server).
• Expertise in Hexamap GTech technologies.
• Proficient in programming languages such as .NET Technologies, Python and JavaScript for application development and automation.
• Strong understanding of geospatial data formats, projections, and analysis techniques.
• Experience with database management systems, such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, in a GIS context
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Working knowledge of agile and waterfall development methodologies
• Ability to set, manage, and meet deadlines for functional teams while maintaining composure under pressure
• Willingness to work some weekends as needed

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:
Ontario:$ 89004 to $ 103042
