Here at GXO we are looking for a Operations Support Manager to join us at our Heineken site in Washington. You'll manage a warehouse team of approx. 17 colleagues across 3 shifts and support the Transport function with around 52 drivers and drivers mates. You're overall responsibility will be ensuring that the shifts are resourced adequately, interacting with our customer, overseeing multiple areas of our operation and all aspects of people management.
You will be working Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00. We do ask for some flexibility at peak times as drink needs to be delivered!

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Working in a complex fast-moving environment, you will be responsible for the overall operational performance on shift ensuring effective use of resource and management of staff, so customer service and volume is not compromised
- Support in the management of stock integrity and investigate all discrepancies, using root cause analysis to identify and then remedy all areas of improvement
- With a passion for developing others, you will lead and motivate the team, to ensure you meet set KPIs, whilst providing support and guidance to your team
- You will exceed operational targets and lead continuous improvement initiatives at site whilst championing all things health and safety
- You will work closely with our customer developing positive working relationships and responding to any customer requests or queries in a timely manner
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Previous management and team building experience, ideally from working in a similar fast moving and customer focused environment
- International Managers CPC
- An understanding of continuous improvement tools and health and safety
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (SAP) would be an advantage
