Role Summary and Impact
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Business Intelligence to lead and mentor a growing team of analysts. Partnering closely with clients, Planning, and Investment teams, you will spearhead the development and implementation of innovative, cross-media measurement strategies. This leadership role requires a proven track record of successfully managing and developing teams, a deep understanding of the media analytics and research landscape, and a passion for driving data-driven decision-making. You will oversee all reporting for the business unit to ensure cohesion across HCP and consumer initiatives, and provide thought leadership to elevate our clients' measurement approaches. This role demands a strong understanding of various data types (performance, MMM, observational, last-touch, etc.) and the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights for clients.

Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of analysts, including direct management of an Associate Director and oversight of the broader team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Strategic Vision & Planning: Develop and champion the long-term vision and roadmap for business intelligence, ensuring alignment with client objectives and Mindshare's strategic goals. Delegate effectively to the Associate Director and broader team to execute this vision.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior-level clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing strategic guidance on measurement strategies and business intelligence initiatives.
- Measurement Framework Development: Oversee the creation and execution of robust measurement frameworks, incorporating advanced analytics, brand lift studies, and other relevant methodologies.
- Data Governance & Quality Control: Establish and maintain best practices for data governance, quality assurance, and data integrity across the team.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance measurement strategies and drive innovation within the team and for clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal teams (Planning, Investment, CMI, Data Ops, Modeling) to ensure seamless integration of data and insights across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional work experience.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a media agency environment, with a proven track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
- Deep understanding of the media analytics and research landscape, including various data types (performance, MMM, observational, last-touch, etc.) and their applications in media measurement.
- Strong proficiency with primary buying and ad-serving tools (Prisma, Sizmek, etc.).
- Experience designing and managing research projects with vendors such as Kantar Millward Brown, Upwave, Lucid, and Dynata.
- Expertise in data visualization tools (DOMO, Tableau), web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and ad servers (Sizmek).
- Familiarity with syndicated measurement tools (Nielsen, comScore).
- Working knowledge of SQL, R, and Python.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and a passion for building and developing data-driven solutions.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical/CPG industry, particularly with personal care brands, is highly preferred

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $100,000 to $230,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
