Role Summary/Purpose:

The primary role of the Control Room Operator is to operate the Facility from the distributed control system while ensuring that all Facility equipment is operated within design parameters. Execute Monitors Facility operations and make adjustments as needed to optimize performance. Monitor the operations of emissions control equipment and adjust Facility operations to meet the goal of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring of gas turbine, steam turbine, boiler and its ancillary equipment, and follow the standard operation procedure to ensure that all equipment is operating normally including emissions, efficiency, heat rate and safety.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute inspection and maintenance of equipment at plant, and its work area covers indoor and outdoor at the power plant.
  • Assist to operate the water & wastewater plants.
  • Deal with abnormal equipment, troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Need to take day shift and night shift with colleagues.
  • Complete the assigned works from supervisor.

Required and Desired Requirements:

  • Associate Bachelor, Bachelor or master's degree in electrical, mechanical, turbine or relevant engineering.
  • New college graduate with relevant major study is acceptable or above 0.5-2 years of work experience on operation & maintenance at related power generation plant like power plants, petrochemical plants, incineration plant or cogeneration plants. Experience preferred in combined cycle and gas turbines, but industrial, marine and utility power may be acceptable. It is better to have work experience on gas turbine.
  • A basic understanding of engineering concept and engineering practices on a modern power station.
  • Understand and implement regulations related to safe factory operations.
  • The ability of risk assessment and safety awareness.
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English with good communication.
  • It is preferred to have relevant certificate to operate boiler and pressure vessel.
  • Able to work overtime if it is necessary to carry out operation and maintenance.
  • Be enthusiastic about work and not afraid of hardships.
