Creative Designer

At GE Vernova, we are leading our customers through the energy transition and accelerating the path to a zero-carbon tomorrow. As part of GE Vernova, Grid Software, provides mission critical software to global utilities so they can deliver reliable, sustainable, and affordable energy. The Creative Designer will work closely with the Digital Marketing and Creative Services team lead, and wider marketing team to build and uphold GE Vernova Grid Software's strong visual brand through both digital and print production.

  • Support all areas of design from project execution to completion. Develop graphic design artwork including, but not limited to reports, whitepapers, eBooks, collateral, presentations, infographics, advertisements, events and translate them across multiple on-screen mediums such as print, digital, website, e-mail, and social media.
  • Drive the creative development of our marketing and play a significant role in the creative process for campaign development.
  • Conduct design research to provide insight on industry trends in support of GE Vernova Grid Software's brand.
  • Use effective time management and organizational skills to maintain workflows and meet deadlines.
  • Follow projects from concept to final approval working with team members from multiple departments.
  • Develop and edit complex presentations as part of executive support.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives that are integral to the company.

Website and Social Media

  • Produce and manage creative assets for the website and social media that help draw readers in and encourage engagement.
  • Assist with design for website redesign.

Video Support

  • Support SMEs with the creation of animated explanatory videos.
  • Edit videos of virtual event recordings to support the event team.
  • Create unique sizzle reels for case studies and reports.

Email

  • Work with marketing operations team to create images for all emails including event promotion emails, webinar invitations and product update announcements.
  • Support ongoing email development and landing page updates.

Qualifications

  • 8-11 years' experience with a degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
  • Proficient with Adobe CS products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or Premiere Pro creating animated and non-animated videos
  • Strong understanding of design rules and principles
  • Strong eye for detail, aesthetic, and typographic sense
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to propose new ideas and projects
  • Passionate about visual problem solving and graphic design
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of print production a plus
