Job Description Summary
Contract professional supporting the Defense & Systems business contract life cycle including cradle to grave contract management and critical product line partnership duties in government and commercial contracting environments. The Defense & Systems Contracts Team is the primary focal to government, airframer and commercial procurement customers and accountable for contracting actions across all phases of a Program: proposal strategy, solution development, production, sustainment and closeout. The Contracts Team provides expert knowledge in customer relationships and regulations, contract terms, price and profit negotiation, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, and scope and change management. As a trusted partner to the business, Contracts collaborates across multiple functions with a focus on meeting business objectives while balancing customer expectations.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Direct support of multiple government, airframe and commercial contracts of varying type and complexity (fixed price, cost reimbursement, prime, sublevel, Part 12/15, development, production, etc.)
- Cross-functional collaboration to assess and disposition FAR and DFARs requirements and commercial terms and conditions for solicitations and contracts
- Contract life cycle support for multiple programs including solicitation assessment, proposal strategy and compilation, audit and negotiation, contract operation and change management, customer relationship maintenance, administration of claims and disputes and contract closeout
- Works closely with leadership to shape business and contracting strategies and procedures and to ensure flawless execution in the formation, administration, and closeout of contracts
- Lead functional teams or special projects; regularly advises functional and business leadership
- Commitment to compliance and quality and timeliness
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or issues, provide recommendations and drive solutions.
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products or processes.
- Stays informed of industry trends that may influence the function
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in government, commercial or international contract formation and execution
- Experience with leading small teams or informal mentorship
- Solid domain expertise with commercial terms and conditions, Federal Acquisition Regulations, with emphasis in Parts 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and 15 Contracting by Negotiation, and DoD FAR Supplement
- Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems; demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects/cross functional teams
- Periodic travel required

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
