At our Wales facility in Nantgarw, just north of Cardiff, we specialise in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of a range of commercial jet engines. We occupy 1.2 million square foot of workshop space, and have 2 state-of-the-art aircraft engine testing facilities, along with a significant repair capability.
The site has the capability to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for a range of engine types - including the world's most powerful commercial aircraft engine the GE90 115B and the world's most popular commercial engine the CFM56.
In 2017, we were selected as the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility of choice for the GE9X; which will become the world's largest and most fuel-efficient jet engine when it launches into service. The site will benefit from a £5m investment from the Welsh Government to support the total £20m investment put forward by the business, to equip and upskill the facility to be ready to maintain the GE9X fleet when it enters service on the new Boeing 777X aircraft.

Essential Responsibilities include
- Ensuring compliance of standard operating procedures for Customs and AEO processes, including IP authorisations.
- Proactively oversee the customs operations effectively.
- Ensuring adherence to Customs Enterprise Standards.
- Develop relationships and processes with Freight Forwarders.
- Develop key internal relationships to support researching the status of items held under customs regimes.
- Complete Regular internal Audits of Customs Documentation.
- Record Keeping in Line with HMRC Guidance.
- Support the department to resolve day to day issues and queries.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy skills, and capability with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, using own initiative and within a team, contributing to Team Success.
- Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple duties and meet deadlines in a consistent manner.
Desired
- Previous experience with SAP.
- Previous experience / interaction with suppliers / vendors.
- Knowledge of Commodity Codes and Tariff Classification.
- Knowledge of Inward Processing.
- Knowledge of customs requirements and formalities.
