We are in search of a Lead Data Software Engineer to become an integral part of our team.
The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in developing data pipelines for our emerging data platform. You will be tasked with understanding features and data mappings, and executing the required Airflow DAGs in Python to process, interpret, and transfer data from its initial form to the necessary states for training or inference.

Responsibilities
- Grasp data features and mappings to execute necessary Airflow DAGs in Python
- Build, sustain, and enhance data pipelines for our data platform
- Process, interpret, and transfer data to various states for training or inference
- Work with cross-functional teams to maintain data pipeline efficiency
- Aid in the design and execution of the data platform
- Address and fix data pipeline problems promptly
- Maintain data integrity, quality, and security throughout the pipeline process
- Record and share data pipeline processes and best practices
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in data engineering

- Minimum of 5 years in Data Software Engineering
- 1+ years in a relevant leadership role
- Practical experience with Amazon EMR, AWS, Apache Airflow, and PostgreSQL
- Skilled in PySpark and Python
- Robust understanding of data pipelines and data transformation processes
- Knowledge in data storage and retrieval systems
- Skilled in data manipulation and transformation
- Ability to handle large-scale data processing frameworks
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Capacity to thrive in a collaborative team setting
- Background in working with OpenSearch
- Certifications in pertinent data engineering technologies
- Acquaintance with data visualization tools and techniques
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies
