As a Product Design Manager at Ecovadis, you’ll manage programs to improve how we design and build experiences, boosting design excellence, scalability and alignment across teams. This position will report directly to the Product Design Director, with a reporting team of 5-8 designers.

You will:

  • Vision and direction: Define a vision for how our platform and products should look, feel and interact with each other, as well as an effective strategy for executing on that vision;

  • Design principles: Define principles, standards, and experience guard rails to ensure a cohesive and purposeful end-to-end app experience—and creates the mechanisms to scale this understanding and adherence (I.e. training designers and operationalizing processes) out to the broader UX team that is responsible for designing features within the apps;

  • Design quality: Actively review deliverables and provide feedback to ensure high-quality output;

  • Design System: Manage growth and implementation of design system for scalability alongside cross-functional partners;

  • Cross-product collaboration: Proactively identify large, strategic UX opportunities that span across the product. Work with product teams to drive cross-product initiatives through awareness and prioritization;

  • Usability: Help teams identify and prioritize overall usability improvements to the product;

  • UX process: Set up and manage collaborative processes within our team to ensure multi-disciplinary teams are actively working together;

  • Hiring: Help source talent, interview, review and provide feedback to maintain a high-quality interview process;

  • Career development: Provide coaching for those on your team to grow technical/soft skills and develop career paths;

  • People management: Recognize and help prevent burnout while managing well-being, performance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years on a similar position;

  • Strong understanding of design principles - like fonts, layouts, colors, user-centered design, UX patterns, and information architecture;

  • Passion for creating visually pleasing and intuitive user experiences;

  • Knowledgeable across human-centered design, including UX strategy, interaction design, user research, prototyping, and more;

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and practical organizational planning skills;

  • Well-versed in facilitation techniques that enable groups to build clarity and alignment;

  • Sound judgment on what challenges to invest in and what challenges to deprioritize;

  • Experience driving organizational change with cross-functional stakeholders;

  • Experience growing a team of designers and serving as a mentor and advisor to the design team at-large;

  • Communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same;

  • Champion a culture of well-being by recognizing and mitigating burnout risks, while ensuring timely project delivery;

  • Ideal, but not required: Have prior experience working on SaaS products.
