Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform RF design for the first standalone 5G broadband network in the US.
  • Optimize RF design, including propagation modeling and Macro Cell deployment.
  • Determine equipment and power configurations, and modify RF link budgets per site.
  • Conduct site candidate evaluation, selection, and site walks.
  • Coordinate cell site testing, optimization, and troubleshooting of issues.
  • Develop solutions to complex RF engineering problems and coach junior engineers.
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • BSEE/BSCS degree and/or at least 5+ years of relevant 5G/LTE RF Design working experience
  • 6+ years overall wireless experience in Design/Optimization or Operations roles including RF support of Site Acquisition and site Construction teams
Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in 4G/5G and NR theory with practical experience.
  • Expertise in macro and small cell RF designs, KPIs, and RF link budget maintenance for 3GPP technologies.
  • Skilled in setting up, calibrating, and utilizing LTE design/optimization tools and software.
  • Mastery of industry propagation tools like Planet or Atoll, including model calibrations.
  • Expertise in drive test data post-processing, frequency planning, and interference analysis using tools like Windcatcher or Actix.
  • Experience with equipment co-location and conducting inter-modulation and interference evaluations.


Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year
