The I&I team supports our GPS clients by delivering capabilities across the investigative lifecycle in the regulatory, civilian, law enforcement, health, and national security domains. Our professionals help our clients to identify, combat, and mitigate national security threats such as fraud, money laundering, sanctions violations, cybercrime, threats of terrorism, human trafficking, narcotics trafficking, litigations, and disputes.

Deloitte's Investigations & Intelligence (I&I) team helps clients gather and understand vast amounts of information; analyze it through deep understanding of their regulatory, administrative, criminal or executive authorities; and produce tailored insights that inform enforcement or other legal actions. The I&I team supports our GPS clients by delivering capabilities across the investigative lifecycle in the regulatory, civilian, law enforcement, health, and national security domains. Our professionals help our clients to identify, combat, and mitigate national security threats such as fraud, money laundering, sanctions violations, cybercrime, threats of terrorism, human trafficking, narcotics trafficking, litigations, and disputes.

The Role:

This is a specialized role for a Diversion Operations Statisticians who is an experienced professionals with a heavy statistics and mathematics background to support multiple analyses and efforts within Diversion. This involves:

Data Integration and Machine Learning:

  • Collate and combine client data (up to 100M+ rows) to effectively and efficiently produce thorough statistical analyses supporting client needs.
  • Design and implement advanced analytics and statistical models to support anomaly and outlier detection amongst pharmaceutical supply chain entities.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Train client personnel on the use of dashboards and developed analytical tools.
  • Promote team-wide adoption and effective utilization of these tools through comprehensive training sessions and ongoing support.

Analysis Automation:

  • Identify opportunities for automation within existing statistical analyses to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions to streamline data collection, processing, and other analysis tasks.

The role requires two+ days a week of on-site support in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance must be onsite at the client location in Arlington, VA two days a week. Must have 5+ years of professional data science, statistics, or mathematics experience using R, Python, or some other scripting language.
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL Database Administration and/or SQL Programming.
  • Strong strategic communication skills to include presenting quantitative concepts in easy-to-understand formats and actively listening to identify business problems and their causes.
  • Experience with creating data visualization concepts to better represent insights and communicate complex quantitative concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience in big data analysis, data visualization, and cloud AWS big data analytics and data pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL and Power BI
