- As a CVS Health Store Manager (SM), you will be a single-unit retail leader responsible for leading your team to achieve operational and service excellence. The SM will achieve success through managing, inspiring and coaching their direct reports, consisting of Front Store (FS) crew and FS management positions. The SM will lead the store team through effective communication, consistent application of SOPs and best practices, provisioning of appropriate support to all departments, and scheduling to the needs of the business. Responsibilities
Store Operations- Ensure healthy and effective business operations to maintain P&L stewardship
- Maintain accurate financial reporting/administration: analyze operating reports/documents and make recommendations on how to improve store performance and implement plans
- Uphold brand standards through execution of Retail Brand Standards in-store and amongst colleagues
- Schedule daily and weekly activities while preparing weekly work schedules and payroll based on store's budgeted hours
- Prepare, complete, and distribute reports and records to maintain store's financial and operational health
- Oversee and execute the preparation of the daily cash report and weekly summary
- Operate cash registers and execute and document financial transactions, including cash/check pulls, deposits, returned check payments, etc.
- Deliver deposits and secure change from the bank while maintaining a balanced imprest fund
- Order and manage inventory as needed to maintain healthy store merchandising levels
- Load and unload deliveries to help replenish inventory; ensure store team can load and unload in absence
- Verify and maintain billing manifest; execute and document merchandise returns and inter-store transfers
- Ensure all vendor merchandise is checked in via the ironman
- Execute required Front Store compliance policies and Front Store SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), including daily store and compliance walks to ensure the premises are maintained to standards
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal and state laws
- Supervise and/or execute rubbish removal to safeguard store cleanliness
- Attend district and/or regional meetings as needed
- Execute pricing, replenishment, and planogram activities in accordance with weekly and monthly schedules to enable consistency in colleague and customer experience across our Retail stores
- Elevate the shopping experience through well-thought and/or seasonal merchandising to drive top-line sales while remaining in line with compliance expectations and our Retail Standards
- Differentiate the holiday season through well-timed 'Gloves-Off' merchandising coupled with Surprise and Delight moments to provide a unique customer experience
- Prepare the store for physical inventory to ensure adequate product balances on hand
- Ensure price accuracy, using POS Price Accuracy Report and in-store price audits for inventory control
- Control use of register keys, securing door keys, alarm codes, and safe combinations; partner with DAPL as needed
- Execute locking of safe and security doors and setting of alarms when closing the store and ensure management team is trained to do so in Store Manager absence
- Complete random cash verifications and , analyze Electronic Cashier Analysis Report
- Maintain and react to Electronic Article Surveillance system to help prevent theft
- Identify and react to external theft trends by securing company assets through product protection
- Protect store assets and administer, monitor, and react to Internal Asset Protection programs and systems, including employee bag checks, secured lockers, and receipts for purchases
- Serve as a leader and resource for the home store team, with end-to-end oversight of recruiting, staffing, hiring, training, development, performance management, and where required, termination, for all store colleagues
- Effectively communicate information to store crew and supervisors in an open and timely manner to ensure roles and responsibilities
- Conduct midyear and annual performance reviews for all front store colleagues to foster professional development and track on company goals
- Promote a positive shopping experience for all customers; regularly review customer feedback and "close the loop" to resolve any service gaps in accordance with company policy
- Engage the team to drive customer loyalty programs with heart, always using an ethical approach that wins the customer's business the right way
- Develop short and long-term staffing strategies in response to store needs, partnering as necessary with pharmacy leadership; hire, train, develop, and evaluate store crew and store leadership team; actively source and promote talent for cross-training and pipelining into other departments, especially the pharmacy
- Correctly execute all necessary documentation for hiring kits, I9 documentation, staff enrollment forms, changes of status forms
- Lead new employee onboarding, including orientation activities and timely completion of role-specific training curricula and required compliance training
- Coach and execute counseling discussions with direct reports
- Ensure on-the-job safety of all employees and treatment for employee injuries sustained on the job
- Maintain a workplace free from discrimination and harassment
- Conduct regular check-ins with all direct reports to track business goals and maintain team engagement
- Create a workplace the promotes the Company's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging and Social Justice and Equity initiatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records at store level
- Complete and analyze Business Reviews and develop and execute plans to correct areas needing improvement
- Must be 18 years of age
- Completion of all required training for current role within required timeframe
- Hight school diploma or general equivalent development (GED)
- 1-3 years of prior relevant work experience
- Work flexible schedules including early morning and evening shifts according to store needs and operating hours; two closing shifts per week and four weekend shifts per month are required at a minimum
- Examples:
- Store Manager is scheduled consistently four Saturday OR Sunday shifts each month equating to working a total of four weekend shifts per month
- Store Manager is scheduled a Saturday and Sunday shift in the same weekend, with two weekends on per month equating to working a total of four weekend shifts per month

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$49,140.00 - $81,960.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
