This position will lead innovation readiness workstreams, partnering with technical delivery leads and product owners to oversee successful execution of initiatives and prepare impacted constituents for new offerings, from design & development through implementation and post deployment.
Job Description
The UM Innovation team is under Clinical Strategy, Innovation & Investments. We lead the implementation of strategic initiatives for Utilization Management and the Aetna Clinical Solutions organization. Initiatives are centered on technical capabilities such as automation, generative AI, predictive analytics, and other technologies to automate processes, deploy workflow efficiencies, and improve colleague, provider and member experiences. This position will lead innovation readiness workstreams, partnering with technical delivery leads and product owners to oversee successful execution of initiatives and prepare impacted constituents for new offerings, from design & development through implementation and post deployment. What you will do
- Act as a top-level specialist on project and program planning and develops comprehensive program plans that encompass objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation
- Adapt project and program plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and reinforce organizational standards
- Create and execute implementation plans that focus on operational readiness - training, communications, operational workflow design, time studies, post go live support
- Lead cross functional workstreams across different business areas
- Design the change management protocol to effectively respond to obstacles that may arise during project and program lifecycle
- Create reporting and dashboards utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and analyze project/program outcomes
- Coordinate knowledge sharing among project teams to highlight success stories and improve project and program management practices through insights
- Creates a continuous improvement plan to enhance delivery processes and outcomes
- Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to present project and program data in a visually appealing easily understandable format
- Participate in project/program team training and development activities to enhance project management skills and knowledge
- Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of work experience in project or account management, change management, implementation, or equivalent work experience
- • Demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior level; capacity to quickly build and maintain credible relationships at varying levels of the organization simultaneously
- Ability to take an analytical approach to solving problems in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to partner cross-functionally to implement improvements
- Ability to communicate in a highly effective manner with internal and external constituents in both written and oral format. Proven success with content creation strategy
- Experience with managing large scale initiatives in a matrix organization
- Ability to achieve results through others
- Ability to drive change to improve performance
- Proven track record of creating accountability
- 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic problem solving and/or new product development (e.g., consulting)
- 5+ years of demonstrated organizational skills (e.g. project management experience or managing cross-team/department initiatives with demonstrated success)
- 5+ years leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
- 5+ years of experience working as a Product Owner or in a Project Management role
- Possesses sound business judgment and tact; understands and takes into account downstream operational dependencies and tradeoffs
- Prior work experience in healthcare/home care or start- ups preferred
- • Demonstrated experience successfully implementing change in complex organizations
- • Experience with enterprise-wide and/or cross-functional large scale initiatives with high degree of complexity
- Demonstrated ability to identify and proactively address issues impacting project team performance
- Knowledge or experience in utilization management or care management preferred
- Ability to able to learn operational processes and systems and their impact to our solutions
- Experience in creating and sustaining a culture of innovation
Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.40
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
