The Ownership Intelligence division of Georgeson is seeking a Senior Account Manager covering Ownership Intelligence and Client Services with a background or equivalent experience in shareholder services, market/ownership intelligence, or investor relations.
This role involves understanding client needs, managing their expectations, building long-term relationship, as well as contributing to the growth of sales revenue through strategic upselling of services. A role you will love
Establish and maintain effective communication with clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to addressing client needs. Ability to identify new business opportunities within existing client accounts, provide input into the development of Strategic plans and initiatives aimed at improving client satisfaction and retention.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrate ability to conduct in-depth analysis of the company's shareholder structure, identifying key investors, and integrating the information in a comprehensive report.
- Experience in maintaining good relationships with the brokers, custodians, and institution community. Keep contact information updated and obtain disclosure information promptly.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams within the organization, fostering teamwork and information sharing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver ownership intelligence findings to clients in a clear and engaging manner.
- Proactive in staying up to date with current industry news, IR trends, and market developments.
- Willingness to actively participate in ad-hoc or special projects as assigned.
What will you bring to the role?
You are a University graduate with a background in shareholder services, ownership intelligence or investor relations. You will have expertise in managing client relationships, analyzing ownership data, and maintaining good relationship with the broker/custodian community. This experience should demonstrate the ability to provide insights that support business strategy and product enhancement.
Other key skills required for the role include:
- Expert ability to quickly analyze situations, demonstrate mental agility and demonstrate sound judgement. You will be well-organized and able to prioritize and manage workload demands, as well as being adaptable and capable to take on a variety of tasks.
- Have a solution-oriented mindset focused on delivering results, be self-driven and proactive in assuming responsibilities.
- Proven ability to lead and provide guidance to junior team members and supporting global team members.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate open working relationships with staff at all levels in the business. Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- The ability to effectively communicate clearly in both written and verbal format in English and Chinese.
