About the Role

At Chime, managing risk is one of the key competencies that set us apart from our peers. Our goal is to keep member accounts safe, provide them uninterrupted access to their money, and minimize risk exposure all while maintaining best-in-class fraud loss metrics. We have multiple business process operation vendor(s) across different geographies and are accountable for the fraud footprint strategy and execution of investigations. In the role of Fraud Oversight Analyst, BPO you will join our Fraud Investigations team and oversee the machine learning validation processes, P2P monitoring, and scaled services functions of our BPO.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $82,620.00 and up to $114,800.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to
  • Create best practices for machine learning validation and retraining, as well as P2P alert monitoring and trend analysis
  • Partner with our BPO teams to validate data within time-sensitive parameters to influence fraud strategy, model revisions, and rule efficacy
  • Understand current risk methodologies and conceptualize solutions to optimize risk account action policy and processes to improve member experience
  • Assist with support of agent selection criteria and training program
  • Build trusting relationships across the BPO organization and internal teams
  • Own triage procedures and execution for escalated incidents
  • Own KPI's and reporting of initiative, policy, and performance metrics
  • Support ad-hoc projects as assigned

To thrive in this role, you have
  • 4+ years of Fintech, or financial services experience
  • 4+ years of experience with fraud prevention, fraud data analysis, investigations, or risk management with an emphasis on machine learning and P2P
  • Experience working with large-scale BPOs onshore and offshore and relationship management
  • A positive, team player mentality with strong collaborative qualities
  • Daily use of SQL to build data-backed decisions
  • Strong oral and written communication, along with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Self-motivating drive with a track record of working autonomously, skilled at implementing new processes and systems, and the ability to influence senior leadership
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approx. 25% of the time (post COVID)
