As a member of Advisor Services Technology (AST), AST Operations, you will be immersed in a collaborative and innovative environment, supporting Applications and Platforms for Advisor Services. This team supports industry- leading Technology and Flexible RIA Platforms for Account Management and Trading, seamless Digital Onboarding for clients and API integrations for our Registered Investment Advisors (RIA).

As a Release Manager, you will manage several projects at any given point of time in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should be able to work with several stakeholders across the Organization to deliver quality releases. In addition, able to manage incidents by coordinating across impacted groups including Business, Technology Operations, service consumers and support personnel. The candidate should have solid experience and understanding of Agile Scrum/Kanban Methodology. The role will require a high level of responsibility and accountability yet has a support structure necessary for development growth.

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years working in an Enterprise Software organization.
  • 4+ years of experience in running complex and critical applications. A key role of this resource will be to lead teams through the Release Process: Ability to define deployment plans, identify deployment dependencies, define deployment timelines for releases.
  • Experience working with Change Management tools for tracking the production changes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools in a cloud environment preferred (Git Tools, Bamboo, Bitbucket, TFS, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Automation skills with code and scripting, deploying code across multiple Infra components.
  • Experience documenting and improving processes around Release Management best practices.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including multiple evenings per week for release night implementations.
  • Knowledge of BMC Remedy/HP Service Manager/Service Now, Jira, Confluence and Clarity required.
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision- making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced release strategy concepts a plus (blue/green deployments, Canary deployments, auto-tagging, versioning strategy, automation).
  • Strong ownership mentality with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to partner with Scrum Masters / Developers / SREs/Product Owners during the release management process.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong customer orientation with an affinity to proactively own, communicate, and follow-through projects and issues.
  • Extreme sense of ownership to resolve problems in a distributed environment.
  • Gritty resolve to dig deeper into technical issues in a complex trading eco-system.
