About The Role:
An analyst in the asset manager M&A vertical will primarily support as execution for the vertical. The ideal candidate will support the global head and director and help not only run ongoing live projects, but also to act as additional support for originating new business. Though dedicated to the AM M&A team, the analyst should be able to help deliver the M&A product for clients of other CBRE verticals.
What You'll Do:
- Support M&A execution for clients from start to finish in a transaction, including pitching, diligence, positioning, marketing, negotiation and closing a transaction.
- Assist in drafting of management presentation and other marketing materials. Conduct advanced financial analysis to reach a value conclusion, including preparing financial models used to evaluate financial structures for M&A transactions.
- Connect clients to a broad network of potential partners, including buyers and/or sellers, and sources of capital, distribution and expertise.
- Handle client expectations and projects via ongoing weekly check-ins, including agendas, project workstream trackers and overviews of what will be accomplished in a given week.
- Understand the various types of companies in the Asset Management industry, including various product types and fund structures, in order to effectively communicate and react to the implications of a particular transaction given a set of idiosyncratic circumstances for a particular client.
- Provide expertise and creativity around transaction structure, including knowledge of various structures and associated legal terms.
- Understand the broader themes in the Asset Management space and integrate these themes into pitches, marketing materials and conversations with various stakeholders.

What You'll Need:

- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Finance or related field and a minimum of zero to two years of related experience and/or training. Takes Series 79 and 63 Securities License during first three months of employment.
- Strong presentation drafting, writing and communication skills, including an acute attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with a detailed knowledge of corporate finance and its principles. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Accounting knowledge not required, but preferred.
- Ability to understand and research responses to potential questions, and improvise when asked unexpected questions.
- Effective time and relationship management to handle multiple live engagements and new origination / business development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Investment Banking Analyst position is $77,900 annually and the maximum salary for the Investment Banking Analyst position is $129,800 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
