Job Description Summary

The Supply Planner is responsible for the development of the Supply Plan and inventory management of related finished goods. Supply Planner works closely with the Regional Planners, Marketing partners, Production Planners and Operations. The Supply Planner role entails a global focus on the optimization of supply of finished goods with an emphasis on worldwide inventory flow, visibility, and management. The Supply Planner is responsible for preparing, maintaining Supply Chain related reports and metrics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Regional / functional teams to insure sufficient finished goods inventory supply to all worldwide affiliates
  • Work closely with the Marketing and/or Demand Planner Organization to ensure adequate product deployment execution and worldwide inventory balancing in S&OP
  • Work closely with worldwide affiliates to understand and establish regional/worldwide inventory stocking levels
  • Define and manage SAP applicable parametric settings and master data.
  • Participant for all new product introductions or product discontinuation projects
  • Develop analysis and reports related to inventory level projections, metrics, etc. as required
  • Manage applicable OEM products, insuring adequate worldwide inventory
  • Prepares and manages Supply Chain applicable metrics
  • Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements. Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.
  • Provides analytical support for projects, continuous improvement, relevant metrics, and cost savings
  • Supports inventory analytics and optimization
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Represents Supply Chain planning in select projects and initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Solid knowledge of Supply Chain procedures (planning, demand management, product deployment and inventory control)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment coordinating multi-discipline activities
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with multi-functional areas (Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to multi-task effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Familiarity with an ERP system and common software applications a must

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 3 years planning experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of SAP SCM/APO module experience preferred
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Advanced Excel, Access

ASSETS:

  • Ideal candidate will have a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related field.
  • Knowledge of integrated Supply Chain systems a plus i.e. S&OP.
  • Requires excellent analytical, planning, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
  • Certification in APICS, CPIM or CIRM is preferred.
  • SAP SCM/ECC knowledge and experience preferred.
