Position: Site Reliability Engineer

Work location: Novi, MI

Responsibilities: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Design, develop, automate and test Autodesk's operating systems. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Analyze user needs and systems requirements. Determine system performance standards. Develop or direct software systems testing or validation procedures, programming or documentation. Modify existing system to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Keep the customer-facing services available at top performance by maintain the constant health of the supporting systems. Incident management - act in key response roles during major incident, such as Sev0, Sev1. Participate in the technical review of the incident for problem management. Problem management - populate and participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and hand them off to the Global Solutions team. Ensure that work carried out by the Site Reliability team is executed in such a way as to comply with the company's internal compliance policy and directives. Discuss and resolve technical issues and escalations with other technical staff as required. Work with and lead other members of the team in staying on top of key industry innovation and technology and assist in team development growth. Identify work opportunities and prepare or assist with the preparation of technical proposals as required. Operate in a high pressure environment and troubleshoot complex issues quickly successfully handle multiple priorities. Work to automate detection and resolution of recurring issues in the production environment. Some telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in an software engineer-related occupation. Some telecommuting is permitted.

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least three (3) years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Utilize knowledge of ServiceNow and Salesforce to respond to user tickets, problems and questions regarding functionality, operations, and general operating procedures for enterprise CRM, ecommerce, and Finance applications
  • Utilize knowledge of AWS and Salesforce to design, develop, deliver, and adopt technology including instructional technology pilots, services, and initiatives
  • Utilize knowledge of Splunk, catchpoint and Grafana to troubleshoot application issues and monitor, and test resolutions
  • Utilize knowledge of Adobe to maintain Marketo Engage platform, monitoring native sync between Salesforce and Marketo
  • Utilize knowledge of Python and AWS to automate repetitive tasks like server restarts of Unix servers & rebooting Linux instances (AWS)
  • Utilize knowledge of GITHUB, Jenkins to deploy new Code into Production environments from Child branches in GIT
  • Utilize knowledge of Confluence to create wiki documentations on multiple manual tasks and provide KT's to other resources.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $116,800 - $145,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
