Description
We are hiring an outstanding individual to join the ASE Quality of Service Operations team. Our engineers develop tools, monitoring solutions and operational processes to help Apple deliver the highest quality of media services to our customers. We are responsible for the software that drives real-time end-to-end quality of service and influences the performance of Apple's vast service delivery architecture. We are looking for a standout colleague who is able to take on challenges under tight deadline constraints and deliver imaginative solutions to complex problems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Operating distributed systems and delivering internet services at scale
- Knowledge of core internet protocols and technologies such as DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, HTTP, CDN, etc.
- Experience with monitoring technologies such as Splunk, Grafana, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, etc.
- Skilled in designing, implementing and operating tools and processes to detect, react to and mitigate production issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering presentations across teams and to senior leadership
- Rotating on-call shifts (including periodic weekends)
Preferred Qualifications
- Programming via agile methodologies, in languages such as Bash, Golang, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc
- Familiarity with containerization, orchestration and deployment technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc
- Skilled in independently networking to influence and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
- Experience in executing incident command and coordination
- Build applications and real-time dashboards to monitor the quality of Apple Services
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
