Job Description
We're looking for a summer intern to join our CEO Stakeholder Relations team, which helps support the Chair, President and CEO of Allstate. The Communication Intern will help develop and implement CEO communications for employees, agents, consumers and customers. They build relationships within and outside the Corporate Brand department; plan and execute CEO events, including virtual and in-person town halls; and draft communications of moderate complexity. The Corporate Brand department creates value by building and protecting Allstate's reputation. We drive action and advocacy among key stakeholders by telling Allstate's story. Responsibilities
- Communication Strategy & Planning: Support communication plans reaching Allstate's employee, agent, opinion leader, consumer and customer stakeholders
- Project Management: Work with a team to develop, coordinate and execute CEO requests, communications and events with attention to detail. Manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
- Team Skills & Relationships Management: Work effectively as a member of a team. Establish new relationships and build rapport. Serve as a liaison between the department and other business areas. Have the poise and maturity to foster relationships
- Champion of Culture & Change: Support communication strategies and tactics to create an inclusive, empowering and purpose-driven corporate culture
- Demonstrate a positive, open and flexible mindset during times of change and ambiguity
- Reputation & Brand Management: Understand and consider reputational impacts in planning and communications; protect and build the brand's reputation with multiple stakeholders
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree, preferably in communication, marketing, journalism, or related field
- Start Date: May/June 2025
- Strong cross-collaboration and communication skills; attention to detail and organization; ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities; ability to successfully manage and deliver results under short timelines
- Experience with Zoom, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook or other calendar management systems
- Prior experience in public relations/communications is a plus
