Job Description

  • Responsible for designing, developing and deploying enhancements and projects for Visa’s Finance ERP Systems, primarily Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12) and SAP Cloud Applications (Ariba, Concur).
  • Provide strong hands-on technical expertise, analyze business requirement, identify risks, and collaborate with functional team and business users, to deliver flexible, innovative, cost-effective solutions while meeting business needs.
  • Estimate work effort and staffing needs, develop conceptual approach, proof of concept prototypes, and technical execution plan, track progress against milestones, and drive results in partnership with other team members
  • Design and execute unit test cases. Collaborate with QA team on formal QA testing.
  • Collaborating with project management and functional/Production Support teams to ensure on time delivery of projects, production support plans, and knowledge transfer for long-term supportability of upgrades, enhancements, and deployments.
  • Evaluate 3rd party tools for security, scalability and fit
  • Work with Engineering teams (Windows, UNIX, Network, Storage and Middleware) to translate application requirements into system requirements.
  • Create comprehensive documentation of designs for both small and large projects that take into account all areas of development.
  • Present solutions to key stakeholders and demonstrate working software to leads and management.
  • Follow existing application standards, conventions and best practices as part of the existing SDLC.
  • Maintain, enhance and support, through problem analysis and resolution, the Oracle eBusiness Suite, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur and other integrated applications such as GXS, Hiperos, Aravo.
  • Engage in lessons learned and continuous process improvement around the SDLC.
  • Ensure that applications and code are compliant with Visa security requirements.
  • Provide assistance to other team members as needed.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 7 - 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 5 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Hands-on development experience and proficiency in common ERP development tools such as SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, BI publisher, UNIX Shell scripts, Oracle Application Framework, Java and Java based application development frameworks, JavaScript, HTML, as well as XML
  • Significant Techno-Functional experience in SAP Ariba (Buying and Invoicing), SAP Concur expense management or Oracle ERP (Oracle eBusiness Suite R12- Purchasing, iExpense, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Account Receivables) in a global setting.
  • Understanding of web-based enterprise application architecture and related technologies such as web server, database and middleware.
  • Knowledge of underlying integrations between applications, technology processes and interface testing
  • Experience with low level ad-hoc query tools (Toad, SQLPlus, Ariba Analytic report, AQL) and a working knowledge of SQL queries
  • Experience with creating and executing automated test scripts using OATS, UFT, JUnit etc.
  • Experience with test and defect management tools like HP ALM, JIRA
  • Proficiency in Java, HTML, JavaScript and SQL to be able to understand and troubleshoot enterprise applications built with these technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with management, IT and Business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and sustain a high level of performance when scrutinized. Proactive thinking with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment is a plus
  • Ability to establish strong collaborative relationships with Business partners, team members, external vendors and system integrators on a daily basis to ensure quality assurance is performed in alignment with global initiatives and requirements across the enterprise.
  • Experience in JIRA Align, GitHub is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering. Advanced degree is a plus.
