Software Developer LRS/GIS

• Develop and maintain linear referencing systems (LRS) and GIS applications to support spatial data management needs.
• Drive the daily execution of scope of work for the integrated enterprise software solution development team (kick-off through project close) to meet contract requirements.
• Formally identifies, assesses, and monitors the project scope.
• Lead data mapping and integration plan for clients data.
• Research and determine the clients' needs to determine which features to include in product implementation.
• Collaborate closely with both the scrum and product development teams to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing LRS and GIS applications.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, GIS or related field
• Knowledge and experience of Software Development Life Cycle
• 3+ years' experience and a demonstrated proficiency in data extraction, analysis and scripting tools, preferably Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL
• 2+ years' experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience working with Municipal, State and Federal Agencies is a plus.
• Prior experience with LRS/GIS and working knowledge and experience with ESRI Roads & Highways or other similar systems is a plus
• Self-starter with a technical background in software and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to understand and manage scope, prioritize work effectively
• In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
• Solid understanding of design quality standards.

This position is a fully remote position with some travel to client sites required up to 25%
