The position of Specialty Technician requires the following:

  • High school diploma, equivalent technical training, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid CA Driver's license.
  • Completion or in the process of completing an apprenticeship program and/or 2 years of experience in the maintenance and/or construction trades - a plus.
  • Experience using power tools.
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Capability to adapt to various environments and job requirements.
  • Proficiency in informing and sustaining productive working relationships.
  • Aptitude to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Working Conditions

Working conditions for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Move, lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs.
  • Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Travel to other facilities and potentially to CA, NV, WA, CO, AZ, and TX locations.
  • Required OT for scheduled work, after hour response and weekends options available

Description

Pay Range: $21.96/HR - $25.26/HR (DOE)

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of skilled duties and supports functions related to facilities and vehicle fleets. These functions include the maintenance and improvements of assigned facilities, utilities, and equipment repairs. Provides support to Specialty Maintenance Technicians and contributes to corporate initiatives and specialty projects.

Key Responsibilities

Core responsibilities for the position are as follows:

  • Assists in a variety of duties related to maintenance and building improvements assigned by the facility manager, fleet manager, corporate, or division managers.
  • Ensures the upkeep and proper maintenance of facilities, utilities, and equipment.
  • Operates a wide variety of hand power tools and equipment related to the building maintenance and restoration trades.
  • Keeps tools and equipment in optimal working order.
  • Diagnoses problems and troubleshoots equipment; repairs faulty equipment related to the restoration trade.
  • Assists Fleet Manager with tasks related to vehicle fleet and vehicle maintenance as needed.
  • Maintains records related to assigned activities and work performed.
  • Assists in the onboarding process of new employees; supports the setup of cubicles, new hires checklist, and tools for new team members.
  • Adhere to the health and safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provides support for projects associated with Fleet and Facilities.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
