The HR Business Partner Lead (HRBPL) will lead the people management agenda for Clinical Operations within the insurance businesses. The HRBPL will collaborate with the Senior VP and their leadership team and all of HR to advance business strategies, build organizational capability, affect change, drive well-being and engagement and build organizational capability through assessment, development and deployment of talent.

The HR Business Partner Lead will lead the people management agenda for Clinical Operations within the insurance businesses supporting the Senior VP of that unit as well as their leadership team and organization. They will act as a facilitator for the company's management team. Applies broad experience in various Humana Resources (HR) areas of expertise. The HR Business Partner Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The HR Business Partner Lead possesses a deep knowledge of the business unit / area, key employees and business processes. Builds a strong business relationship with the business unit/area and transfers HR requests and solutions to/from the business unit as needed to connect and leverage the full HR function in support of the business. Implements best practices and supports the delivery of HR processes at the business unit/area. Identifies gaps, proposes and implement changes necessary to cover risks. Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people management. Leads the change management projects and manages the HR related internal and external communication. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision reporting to the Associate VP of HRBP. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of progressive and strategic HR experience OR related business experience
  • Previous experience working in a complex and matrix driven operational organization
  • Sound understanding of business principles, models, and concepts
  • Demonstrated experience influencing Senior and Executive Leaders, consulting on business and human capital strategy.
  • Organizational design and development, and change management knowledge.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated track record of effectively identifying and closing strategic human performance gaps to create a strong talent mindset and positively impact business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience to working independently and collaborating across the Enterprise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Human Resources related Certifications
  • 3+ years of previous experience working within a Fortune 500 organization
  • 5 years of previous experience in a business aligned HR partner role
  • Previous experience with Workday
  • Previous experience supporting a consumer-centric business, or in a consumer-centric organization

**Travel of 10% will be needed and those living within the Louisville, KY area will be asked to be in office one day per week.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$112,400 - $154,900 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
