OUR IMPACT

The Executive Office plays an integral role in building, enhancing, and communicating the Goldman Sachs culture and brand both within and outside of the firm. The Executive Office in Tokyo works across all areas of the firm in reviewing current business and other strategic initiatives for senior regional and divisional management. There are also specialized functions, such as Corporate Communications, Government Affairs, and the Office of Corporate Engagement. These functions work closely with the senior management to provide our people, our clients, and key influencers information about the firm.

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Our projects will provide you with a unique exposure to the breadth of activities at the firm as well as the chance to work closely with many senior divisional leaders. Not only will you be focused on Japan, but you will have the opportunity to establish a broader perspective on Asia/Global businesses.

This role also offers a unique opportunity to work in the International Management Team of the Executive Office. As a member of this team your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- Managing key internal and external engagements for senior management, including senior leadership trips to Tokyo, Japan-based client engagement with firmwide senior leadership, internal townhalls and ad hoc events

- Involvement in promoting initiatives across all the firm's businesses and divisions, including culture events, sustainability, diversity and inclusion

- Coordination between key stakeholders across various business units on firmwide projects and initiatives, such as OneGS and strategic business planning

- Preparation of presentation materials for senior leadership in Tokyo and across our global offices

- Facilitating and administering management related meetings

- Compiling and summarizing information from across divisions to respond to regulator inquiries

- Ongoing strategic assessment of existing business franchises and competitive positioning

- Involvement with specialized functions within the Executive Office, in particular Office of Corporate Engagement and Office of Government Affairs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1.5+ years of working experience in a fast paced, demanding business environment

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in Japanese and English

- Strong interpersonal skills, detail-orientated, motivated, and hardworking

- Ability to work independently, creatively, and exercise good judgment

- Strong business acumen and team player

- Strong analytical and project management skills

- Confident with handling multiple projects, deadlines, personalities, and broad-based coverage

- Knowledge and understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and adaptability to other software products
