Process Overview

Enterprise Architecture & Governance is a horizontal organization across Global Technology. The team delivers value by presenting business and IT leaders with strategies, policies and solutions that achieve target business outcomes across the enterprise and protect the bank. Enterprise Architecture defines the evolution of policies and standards and drives adherence. This organization is accountable for various strategic deliverables like Domain capability model, Technology capability model, Blueprints, Portfolio Level Design, Technology Product Management, OSS, Tollgates around Transformative New Technology, Software management standards and general Enterprise Architecture policies, standards & procedures. The organization is categorized into Architecture design & consultancy, Architecture Framework & Software Management, Architecture Governance, Technology Product Management to name a few. This is a global team spread across different geographies.

Job Description


The requirement is for a Lead Enterprise Architect who will lead the Enterprise Architecture & Governance portfolio based out of Global Business Services in India and be part of the global leadership for this organization. The responsibilities would include owning and delivering on the priorities of Enterprise Architecture and Governance organization, leading and managing a team of domain, technology, information architects and engineers delivering technology solutions for the EA organization. The role would lead team of ~60+ engineers across different skillsets and experience levels. This is a senior role that would have managers reporting into it.

Responsibilities

The qualified candidate and the team will be responsible for a broad range of activities as follows:

  • The Lead Enterprise Architect works closely with the global head of Enterprise Architecture, head of Enterprise Governance and head of Information Architecture
  • Strategize, deliver and maintain Domain capability model and Technology capability model for all the CIO groups within the Bank
  • Deliver and maintain Blueprints for the various products / business segments capturing and providing transparency on the roadmap and target state architecture over 3-5 years
  • Deliver Portfolio Level Design for architecturally significant initiatives
  • Derive and manage the entire lifecycle of all the technology products / open source products (FOSS), the inventory of these products and the architecture roadmap and classification of these products
  • Establish and maintain the Enterprise Architecture Policies, Standards and Procedures to meet the requirements of domestic and international laws, rules and regulations for technology risk management
  • Provide oversight, governance and risk management for transformative new technologies
  • Deliver on the priorities of Information Architecture portfolio delivering for various data initiatives
  • Deliver engineering / technology solutions for the applications related to Enterprise Architecture portfolio
  • Improve collaboration and awareness across the technology community in India as a geography
  • Participate and contribute to Enterprise Architecture Governance forums globally
  • Participate and be part of the core team for Architecture Steering Board globally
  • Lead a team of around ~60+ FTEs in India across various skillsets and experience levels

Requirements


Education

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering

Experience Range


  • 20+ years

Foundational skills

  • Strong experience in Enterprise Architecture practices, standards and policies
  • Strong experience with solution architecture, technology architecture and information architecture
  • Managed Enterprise architecture for a large organization
  • Delivered transformational programs as an enterprise architect
  • Established and delivered on the architecture and product governance portfolio for a large organization
  • Delivered end to end roadmaps for domain and technology products
  • Managed a team of senior architects and engineers
  • Experience managing and collaborating with a broader tech community improving the architecture culture and awareness
  • Have setup and executed oversight, governance and risk management for transformative new technologies
  • Have an engineering flair and has led a team of engineers working on technology solutions for architecture
