Key Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge working with Spark and other distributed data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Presto, Flink, Druid) for building efficient & large scale data pipelines.
  • Expert knowledge of one or more scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Bash etc.).
  • Expert knowledge of one or more object-oriented programming languages (Java, C++, Scala).
  • Strong experience in data architecture and data modeling, SQL skills to analyze and explore data, identify patterns and draw insights.
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.

Description

The AIML team is looking for a dedicated, impact focused Senior software engineer with expertise in data engineering background and skills to function in a fast-paced environment. We seek a talented engineer who can work well across teams and organizations, and has a passion for excellence. We thrive on designing and implementing metrics, frameworks and infrastructure for data analysis, and effective user interfaces. As a Senior Software Engineer on the AIML Performance & Reliability metrics team, you will have significant responsibility and influence in improving Siri during early phase of software development lifecycle by building pipelines and infrastructure, automated data analysis and visualization to improve Siri performance and reliability. You will be expected to work closely with product teams to help them understand the reliability and user experience of the products we build. Also, analyzing opportunities to improve user experience with Siri and help drive those improvements with the product teams. Our engineers collaborate with engineering, design, QA, operations, and project management, to make sure Siri is reliable on all Apple platforms. You will have experience in developing large-scale tools and infrastructure to provide insights into how our products are performing in production. If you're interested, you probably are a generalist engineer, defying categorization. Strong programming, excellent problem solving and communication skills, and a passion to make the best products possible is the key for success in our group.

Education & Experience

BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
